Sony is giving away free Uncharted film tickets to those who buy the game

One of February’s biggest film releases is the much-troubled film adaptation of Sony’s Uncharted video game franchise. Similarly, the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection drops in just a few days. As a way to celebrate the film and game’s release, Sony is giving away free Uncharted film tickets.

Applicable to all those living in the UK, Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand, Sony announced that PlayStation owners can “Purchase or upgrade to Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PS Store by 07.59am on February 4th 2022 and receive a cinema ticket code to see UNCHARTED in participating cinemas.”

In the UK, anyone who purchases or upgrades to the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection (a £10 upgrade fee for any with the PS4 version of the games) from the 7th of December 2021 until the 4th of February 2022 via the PlayStation Store will receive a voucher code for one free film ticket to see the upcoming Uncharted film.

The free Cinema ticket will allow you to watch the film at any Cineworld cinema – but it is worth noting that redeeming the voucher code via their website will incur a small booking fee. Still, this is exciting news for fans of the Uncharted franchise, and showcases Sony’s unique position in the video games and film industries. Hopefully this is the first of many similar promotions.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
