Forza Horizon 6 surpassed 1.4 million players during its Advanced Access period

Forza Horizon 6 is one of Xbox’s big 2026 releases, with the Playground Games developed open-world racer taking players to Japan while also introducing a ton of welcome additions and quality-of-life improvements. As such, it comes as little surprise that the game is already off to a strong start, with Horizon 6’s Advanced Access period drawing in over 1.4 million players.

While Forza Horizon 6 officially launches today for everybody, those who paid up for the premium edition of the game were treated to a few days of advanced access – starting from the 15th of May.

Thanks to its in-game leaderboard, we know roughly how many players bit the bullet on early access, with ResetEra user ‘PJTierney’ collating the data to reveal that over 1.4 million players have checked the game out in advance of its wider release.

This is notable not only due to the fact that it represents an increase of roughly 40% when compared to Forza Horizon 5’s launch, but also because all 1.4 million players had to pay for the pleasure.

Of course, Horizon 6 is a ‘day-one’ Xbox Game Pass addition, but those who wished to take part early had to purchase the upgrade regardless.

It will be interesting to see how quickly this figure will rise as the full, wider release of Forza Horizon 6 goes live today.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
