Destiny 2: The Witch Queen expansion details leaked via PlayStation Store

Bungie is just hours away from its big Destiny 2 reveal event, during which we expect to see announcements for the next season, as well as the next major expansion, The Witch Queen. Unfortunately, the PlayStation Store has leaked some details early, including the release date for the new expansion.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen will be releasing on PC and consoles on the 22nd of February 2022. Initially, the expansion was set to come out this year, but it was later pushed to ‘early 2022'.

According to the store listing, Bungie is touting The Witch Queen as “the definitive Destiny campaign”, with a huge focus on The Hive, a new main villain, Savathûn, and new gameplay additions, including a new weapon type, melee combos and more.

Bungie will be officially revealing The Witch Queen expansion details later today, at 5PM BST. The next Destiny 2 season, known as Season of the Lost, will also kick off.

KitGuru Says: Hopefully Bungie can still bring a couple of surprises to the table today, despite all the leaks. Are you planning to tune into Bungie's reveal stream later today?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
