New Intel DG2 SKU set to rival the RTX 3070 and Radeon RX 6700 XT

We've known that Intel is planning a number of ‘DG2' GPU SKUs, but recently, a brand new one popped up, featuring 448 Execution Units, a notch below the flagship model, which will have 512 Execution Units. This newly discovered SKU will reportedly offer similar performance to the RTX 3070 and RX 6700 XT graphics cards. Meanwhile, Intel's mainstream DG2-128EU variant is said to beat the GTX 1650. 

Up until now, we've never heard of an Intel DG2 SKU with 448 EUs, but according to @TUM_APISAK, there's one coming and even shared undisclosed performance figures comparing it to the RTX 3070 and the Radeon RX 6700 XT.

According to the report, the 448 EU SKU clocked at 1.8GHz is 8% slower than the Radeon RX 6700 XT and 5% slower than the RTX 3070. There is also a comparison between the DG2-128EU and the GTX 1650, suggesting that the Nvidia card is 12% slower than Intel's SKU clocked at 1.9GHz.

Intel has yet to share the release date of its DG2 gaming graphics cards, but rumours point to a paper launch in Q4 2021 and a full release in Q1 2022.

KitGuru says: These comparisons lack a lot of detail, so these results shouldn't be taken too seriously. However, if we take into account the claims of the 512EU graphics card being at the same level as the RTX 3070 Ti, the performance of the 448EU SKU in this comparison matches expectations.
