Gigabyte launches QHD 170Hz M32Q gaming monitor with HDR and KVM switch

Gigabyte is expanding its line-up of M-series monitors with the new M32Q. As the name suggests, this is a 32-inch QHD monitor, aimed at those who like having a mix of gaming and productivity features.

The Gigabyte M32Q comes with a 32-inch SuperSpeed IPS panel with a QHD resolution,  a response time of 1ms (G2G) and a refresh rate of up 170Hz through overclocking. The panel covers 94% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and 120% of the sRGB spectrum, allowing it to display colours more accurately. The SuperSpeed IPS panel has an 8-bit colour depth, 350 nits of typical brightness, and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. Additionally, it is HDR capable, with DisplayHDR 400 certification.

As a gaming-oriented monitor, the M32Q comes with a wide range of features, including an on-screen timer and counter, built-in crosshair, aim stabilizer sync to reduce motion blur, and Eagle Eye to zoom areas of the screen. The monitor also has multiple colours presets with preassigned settings, but users can also change them through the OSD. There is also a system monitoring overlay, Black Equaliser to enhance visibility in dark areas, PIP/PBP modes, and an auto-update tool.

Due to its flicker-free technology and low blue light emissions to reduce eyestrain, the M32Q is certified by TÜV Rheinland and Eyesafe association. In terms of ergonomics, the included stand provides tilt, swivel and height adjustments.

For I/O, you get two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 and a built-in USB hub with three USB-A ports and a USB-C port. There is also a KVM switch and a pair of built-in 3W speakers. Pricing and availability is expected to be announced soon.

KitGuru says: It's not that often that we see a gaming monitor offering a KVM switch, but it sure is a welcome addition. Are any of you looking to upgrade your gaming monitor this year? What do you think of the latest from Gigabyte?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
