The DOOM Slayer is coming to Fall Guys

Since Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout first launched, the Takeshi’s Castle styled battle royale game has collaborated with a number of popular video game IPs to bring skins from various characters into the game. In a teaser by the team, it has been revealed that the DOOM Slayer from the long-running DOOM franchise will be joining the fray.

In a teaser on Twitter, the Fall Guys account announced that it’s “…time to suit up S O O N” with a silhouette of a Fall Guys character adorning the what appears to be the DOOM Slayer’s armour. To put any speculation to rest on who it might be exactly, the official DOOM account responded to the tweet simply saying “D O O M.”

Currently there is no information on exactly when the skin will arrive in Fall Guys, but it has been confirmed that the game will make an appearance at the upcoming Game Awards, which will take place on the 10th of December – so perhaps the announcement will line up with the awards show.

Fall Guys isn’t the only game to include major character collaborations. We recently reported that Kratos from God of War would be dropping into Fortnite, in the latest of an ever-increasingly long line of collaborations. While Super Smash Bros. paved the way for these types of video game crossovers, it would seem that the practice is only going to grow over time. It’ll be interesting to see what other games begin to crossover, expanding the video game multiverse.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
