A Sonic the Hedgehog skin is coming to Fall Guys

Since its launch, Fall Guys has collaborated with a number of well established and renowned franchises such as Portal and Team Fortress 2. Soon however, players will be able to represent one of the biggest mascots in the history of video games, as Sonic the Hedgehog is coming to Fall Guys.

SEGA recently celebrated its 60th anniversary, and in honour of this milestone achievement, the publisher hosted a livestream with the developers of Fall Guys, where they revealed that a Sonic the Hedgehog skin would be coming to the battle royale game show.

As is the case with all Fall Guys skins, the Sonic costume will come in two parts, with each half costing 5 crowns. The Sonic the Hedgehog skin will be made available for purchase tomorrow the 14th of October.

In its prime, Sonic was one of the most recognisable video game characters ever, reaching out far beyond the games industry itself. Even to this day, though not as popular as it once was, you’ll be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't know who Sonic the Hedgehog is.

It’s always fun to see video game developers and publishers working together to cross promote their games and products. For an industry with high levels of competitiveness and rivalry (though admittedly primarily on the part of the consumers), the willingness of developers to put their characters into other franchises has made for many fun crossovers. It’ll be interesting to see who else manages to find their way into Fall Guys.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
