Chuwi presents the world’s smallest 4K Mini-PC, the LarkBox

Chuwi, a Chinese computing device manufacturer, has just unveiled what it calls the “world's smallest Mini PC”. The LarkBox is about the size of an apple, but don't let the small footprint deceive you, as it's more than capable of streaming content in high-resolutions, including 4K.

Weighing only 127g and measuring 61x61x43mm (LxWxH), the Chuwi LarkBox is designed to be moved around easily. Besides its small dimensions, it's also “lighter than most phones on the market”. Given its design, the Larkbox can be used in a multitude of scenarios, such as taking it to your workplace, using as an entertainment centre, and even installing it at the back of a monitor (via VESA mount), to create an All-in-One PC.

The LarkBox comes equipped with an Intel N4100, paired with the integrated UHD Graphics 600, 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and a 128 GB SSD. Additionally, there's a MicroSD slot that supports up to 128GB of extra storage. These specifications should allow it to playback 4K content without hiccups.

The low TDP processor, with about 5W of power consumption at standby, alongside the active cooling system installed in the LarkBox manage to keep it stable under load, while keeping the noise generated to a minimum. The connectivity options include 2x USB Type-A ports, 1x USB Type-C port, 1x HDMI port, 1x 3.5mm headphone jack, and support for Bluetooth 5.0.
