Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition announced for all systems (including Switch 2)

Just under 10 years ago, Fallout 4 officially released to the world. While the game is far from perfect, it resonated with millions thanks to its sandbox-like design and focus on exploration among other ancillary additions (such as the settlement mechanic and base building). As they have done with many of their previous games, Bethesda has now officially announced Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition – bundling the base game alongside its DLC and hundreds of user-created mods.

Making the announcement, the team at Bethesda Game Studios officially unveiled Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition. Set to arrive exactly 10 years on from its initial release (launching on the 11th of November), this complete edition of the game comes bundled with Fallout 4’s 6 DLC packs (Automaton; Far Harbour; Nuka-World; Wasteland, Contraptions and Vault-Tec workshops).

In addition, as we’ve seen with the likes of Skyrim Anniversary Edition, this latest Fallout 4 release also includes “over 150 creation club items” – essentially mods.

Unfortunately, it appears as though like with Skyrim, this Anniversary Edition is merely a bundle of previously-released content, and does not include any specific or unique enhancements. Of course, Fallout 4 did previously receive a current-gen patch, however many fundamentals were left out, including a field-of-view slider.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the announcement was confirmation that Fallout 4 is officially coming to the Switch 2. That said, those wanting to explore Boston’s Wasteland on Nintendo’s platform will have to wait a while, as it is not set to arrive until some time in 2026.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
