iPhone 12 Pro rumoured to feature a 120Hz display and 3X optical zoom camera

Every year, fans eagerly anticipate Apple's announcement for its next generation of iPhones, and every year many of the smartphone’s features leak months in advance. According to recent rumours, Apple is set to bring some major upgrades to this year’s iPhones, including a much-requested 120Hz display, as well as a 3X optical zoom camera lens, alongside other improvements.

As claimed by Max Weinbach and reported by EverythingApplePro, 2020’s iPhone’s are set to receive some major improvements. The biggest feature perhaps, is the introduction of a 120Hz display to the rumoured iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max. Weinback claims that the screen will dynamically shift between refresh rates in order to conserve battery life. For the past few years, Apple has featured 120Hz panels on its iPad Pro series of devices, and so it's exciting to see the feature potentially come to its lineup of high-end iPhones.

Another significant upgrade with this year’s Pro lineup, is the inclusion of a 3X telephoto camera lens. This marks an improvement over the current camera set up, which features a 2X zoom. Of course, this still falls behind some other smartphones, which have seen telephoto lenses with a 10X optical zoom, but the increase to 3X would be appreciated nonetheless.

While it has been rumoured for a while that the new iPhone will feature a smaller notch, recent rumours suggest that Apple’s faceID technology will also see some improvements, with the unlocking system being able to scan the user’s face from a greater range of angles, improving its speed and consistency.

If these rumours pan out, then Apple’s 2020 iPhone line-up is looking to be strong indeed. The full video by EverythingApplePro can be found HERE.
