HANNspree reveal two new portable monitors

Portable monitors designed to extend the desktop of your notebook are becoming ever more popular, with all the main players in the desktop display market releasing their own versions of the compact devices. HANNspree has thrown its hat into the ring now by adding two new portable monitors to its display line up.

HANNspree’s new range of portable monitors includes two super-slim and lightweight 15.6-inch models. Users can choose between a 15.6-inch full HD 1080p (1920×1080) resolution regular HL161CGB or HT161CGB 10-point touch display. Both monitors feature a slim design that is small enough to easily slip into a notebook case or bag, for transporting while away from the home or office.

The new portable monitors from HANNspree boast 170° viewing angles, a lightweight protective cover that doubles up as a foldable stand and a tough glass screen protection. In terms of specifications, both portable monitors are equipped with a 1920×1080 resolution LED-backlit ADS panel, 60Hz refresh rate and 15ms response time, so obviously not aimed at mobile gamers. However, with a slim 11mm profile and weighing in at just 0.7kg makes them ultra-portable and ideal for professionals on the move.

Connectivity options consist of a single Mini HDMI port, USB 3.1 Type-C for power and signal with a power rating of 20V/5A and a data transmission rate of 10Gbps. A USB Type-C to Type-C cable is bundled in the box with the monitors, as well as a Type-A to Type-C cable and an HDMI to mini HDMI cable. Both monitors also include built-in 0.5W speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Both HANNspree portable monitors are available to purchase now, the regular HL161CGB is priced around £195 and the HT161CGB touch monitor will set you back just under £250.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
