Lost Soul Aside demo arrives today alongside the game’s official launch

After more than 10 years in development, the long-awaited ambitious ‘indie’ game Lost Soul Aside is finally launching on PS5 and PC today. While we’ve seen plenty of gameplay demonstrations over the years, those sceptical on laying down their money for the action title can check out the game for free right now thanks to the release of a brand new demo.

Available on both PC and PlayStation 5, the demo for Lost Soul Aside will allow you to “Test your skill, courage, and steel in the first step of a hero’s journey” as you take on “two epic boss battles” in the form of the ‘Rose Queen’ and ‘Holy Knight Commander Victor’.

As mentioned, Lost Soul Aside has been in development for over a decade, with work on the title starting all the way back in 2014. The game was then officially announced in 2016 as a one-person project; sparking plenty of attention.

Since then, Lost Soul Aside’s ambitions grew and so too did its budget, with Sony stepping in to support the game as part of their China Hero Project – helping it to become more than a Final Fantasy-inspired action title.

Given how Lost Soul Aside represents the first title from Ultizero Games, it is nice to see the team offering a demo, letting you try before you buy.

It is worth noting that if you do check out the demo, progress made within it won’t carry over to the full game should you choose to purchase it.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
