Nvidia’s latest driver adds support for RTX, Assassin’s Creed, Forza and more

It's a big month for PC gaming, not only do we have the launch of the new Nvidia RTX series on our hands but there are a few big games also on the way, including Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Forza Horizon 4 and FIFA 19. With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that there is a big new GPU driver update today.

The latest GeForce driver from Nvidia brings us up to version 411.63. This is the launch driver for the RTX 2080 and RTX 2080Ti but it also doubles as a Game Ready driver for the big game launches coming over the next few weeks. You'll need this driver version to take advantage of Nvidia's new RTX features, including DLSS and ray-tracing, although no games support either of them just yet.

On the games optimisation front, this driver will prep you for Assassin's Creed Odyssey, which launches on the 5th of October. It will also optimise for Forza Horizon 4, which brings an all new dynamic seasons system in to play as you race across the streets of the UK on the 1st of October.

Finally, if you happen to purely game on PC and need your football fix, then this driver also optimises for FIFA 19, which launches on the 28th of September.

KitGuru Says: Are any of you planning on picking up one of the big games coming out over the next couple of weeks? Or better yet, are any of you upgrading to Nvidia RTX?
