Razer Black Widow Tournament Edition Chroma Review

The Razer Black Widow Tournament Edition Chroma is an excellent keyboard all around. Not only does it have some of the most vibrant RGB lighting I have come across in a keyboard but once again I have found myself impressed with Razer's tactile green switches.

I have experience with just about every major RGB keyboard release and I can confidently say that Razer's approach with its Chroma keys works very well. The white board found underneath the key caps helps illuminate under the board and the LEDs themselves are bright and allow colours to really ‘pop'.

This keyboard offers up a compact, ten-keyless design, meaning the numpad has been chopped off, removing room for features like an additional USB or audio ports and dedicated media keys. Given its small, travel-friendly size, this is understandable. The keyboard does come with a detachable USB cable, which is a feature I really appreciate, especially given the amount of keyboards that come across my desk. I would be very happy to see this on more keyboards in the future, even the full-size ones.

The carry case that the keyboard arrives in was also a very nice addition and really helps bring a premium feel to the whole package.
