Philips announces new professional UltraWide monitor

MMD has announced the launch of a new Philips 34-inch UltraWide monitor with integrated USB Type-C dock. The Philips 346B1C is said to offer stunning images and powerful features with an ergonomic design.

Philips, along with brand licensing partner MMD has launched a new 346B1C 34-inch ultrawide monitor featuring a VA LCD panel and USB Type-C connectivity. “Designed to maximise workplace productivity in comfort and style” the 346B1C offers a combination of quad HD crystal clear images in a wrap-around VA display, with a host of features to ensure ergonomic comfort.

The new monitor is equipped with high-performance technology designed to provide users with an exceptional viewing experience. The Philips 346B1C incorporates an UltraWide QHD 3440 x 1440 resolution panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio to offer a great workspace for split-screen productivity tasks, thanks to multi-view technology which enables users to work simultaneously on multiple devices at once.

A USB Type-C docking station with power delivery is built into the Philips 346B1C, meaning users can take advantage of a host of functions, such as one-cable docking and the option to connect notebook devices to the monitor enabling a high-resolution display and ultra-fast data transfer, while charging the notebook simultaneously.

Effective viewing area of the Philips 346B1C is 797.2mm x 333.7mm with a 1500 R curvature. A maximum 100 Hz refresh rate is available at 3440 X 1440 resolution with a 5 ms grey to grey response time and 3000:1 contrast ratio. Connectivity includes a single DisplayPort 1.2 connection, one HDMI 2.0 port, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port and USB-B port (upstream), four USB 3.2 ports downstream with 1 fast charge B.C 1.2 connection, plus integrated RJ45 Ethernet and headphone connectivity.

Additionally, the Philips 346B1C comes equipped with a 180° swivel and tilt adjustable stand and VESA mounting capabilities, with a built-in Power Sensor that detects and adjust to human presence, thus reducing energy costs by as much as 80%. The new monitor also features HDR technology and a Windows Hello pop-up webcam.

The Philips 346B1C 34-inch UltraWide monitor will be available from 19th November with an RRP of £539.
