AOC announces the AGP257FT, its fastest gaming monitor to date

AOC is preparing to launch its fastest esports monitor yet. The Agon Pro AGP257FT is a 24.5‑inch Full HD display built around an oxide‑based Fast IPS panel, enabling a native 1000Hz refresh rate that can be pushed to 1050Hz.

The AGP257FT uses an oxide‑based Fast IPS panel, which relies on a higher‑mobility transistor layer to drive pixel transitions faster than conventional IPS designs. That’s what makes a native 1000Hz refresh rate technically viable, with the panel able to hit a minimum 0.3ms G2G response time and 0.1ms MPRT. Despite the focus on speed, the panel still carries VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification with 20 local dimming zones, 450‑nit typical brightness and coverage of 99% sRGB and 90% DCI‑P3.

As you would expect from a modern gaming monitor, several comfort and clarity features are included. Motion Blur Reduction Plus is available to reduce blur during quick turns and rapid movement, and the monitor is Nvidia G‑Sync Compatible. Connectivity covers two HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 2.1, a headphone output and a USB hub with three 5Gbps USB‑A ports. The stand offers 150mm of height adjustment with tilt, swivel and pivot plus measurement markings, so you can easily re-position your monitor exactly the way you like it if you accidentally knock it out of position while cleaning.

The Agon Pro AGP257FT is scheduled to launch in Q1 2027, with regional European pricing to be confirmed closer to release.
