AOC introduces the CU34G2XP curved gaming monitor

Succeeding the three-year-old CU34G2X, AOC has now announced the CU34G2XP. The updated version has the same display size and still uses a curved VA panel, but there are other upgrades in place to make this worth picking up over the older model.

Packing a 34-inch ultrawide VA panel with a 1500R curvature, the AOC CU34G2XP sports a 3440×1440 resolution, 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms G2G response time. The typical brightness is around 350 nits, and the contrast ratio is 4000:1. These paired with an 8-bit colour depth allow the monitor to cover 99% of the sRGB gamut and 91% of the DCI-P3 spectrum. It's worth noting the monitor factory calibrated with a ΔE<2 (sRGB).

HDR10 content and FreeSync Premium are both supported by the CU34G2XP. In addition, it features a blur reduction mode, PiP, PbP, black stabiliser and an overlay function that lets you put a crosshair at the centre of the screen or add an FPS counter. Bluelight mode and flicker-free technology are also packed within the monitor.

On the back of the monitor, you'll find 2x DisplayPorts 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.0 interfaces, a 3.5mm headphone-out jack and a USB 3.2 Gen1 hub. The included stand has rotate, tilt and height adjustment. The option to use a third-party 100×100 VESA-compatible monitor arm is also present.
