Tt eSPORTS ConsoleOne Gaming Headset

The ConsoleOne feels almost identical to the Shock to wear as they have an almost identical design.  The only difference is that the ConsoleOne features leatherette earpads which feel slightly softer against the ears.  They can get a little uncomfortable during long gaming sessions though.

There is plenty of adjustment in the headband, letting people with all head sizes achieve a comfortable fit.  The padded headband helps to distribute the weight of the headset evenly across your head.

We didn't find the ConsoleOne as comfortable as our benchmark headset, the SteelSeries Siberia V2, however it was on a par with SteelSeries' Xbox model, the Spectrum 5XB.

We started our testing by playing some Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on our Xbox 360.  This is a stereo model so the sound panning wasn't especially good but the sound balance was well suited to this type of game.  Moving over to the same game on the PC, the experience was very slightly different from the Shock headset as this model has a built in USB sound card which adjusts the sound balance slightly.

Overall we would say the two are on a par in terms of PC gaming performance but the ConsoleOne does boast significantly louder maximum volume levels.

Then we moved on to our music playback tests with the headset attached to our PC.  We found the ConsoleOne slightly more prominent bass levels than the Shock headset but otherwise a comparable experience.  It dealt with our standard test suite of music styles well and was consistently good throughout.

In our movie playback tests the lack of virtual surround sound was evident.  We would have liked to see Tt eSPORTS implementing this as is certainly possible with a USB connection. We think it would enhance the performance of the headset considerably in this area.
