Each month, Sony updates its PlayStation Plus offerings, giving subscribers to its platform a collection of games for ‘free’. With April nearing its end, Sony have now officially detailed May’s PS Plus Essential offerings – including the souls-like Wuchang: Fallen Feathers alongside the newest entry in EA’s Sports FC series.
Making the announcement via the PlayStation Blog, Adam Michel – the Director of Content Acquisition & Operations at SIE – officially unveiled the full line-up of PlayStation Plus Essential offerings for next month. Going live from the 5th of May, subscribers can look forward to:
- EA Sports FC 26 | PS5, PS4
- Wuchang: Fallen Feathers | PS5
- Nine Sols| PS5, PS4
EA Sports FC is a known quantity at this point, with you either being a fan of the football franchise, or have little-to-no-interest. Still, its addition to PS Plus Essential is a pretty big deal, with this marking the most recent entry in the evergreen football franchise.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers meanwhile is a souls-like which released last year. Developed by the now-shuttered Leenzee and published by 505 Games, the title was met with a somewhat mixed reaction owing to its steep learning curve and optimisation issues (both of which were addressed during its post-launch support period). While certainly not for everyone, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is worth giving a go for fans of the genre.
As mentioned, all three titles will be available to acquire from the 5th of May, meaning you have until then to claim April’s offerings if you have yet to do so. Full details on April’s PS Plus Essential line-up can be found HERE.
