The Last of Us’ multiplayer project reportedly put ‘on ice’

Despite being known for its story, 2013’s The Last of Us featured a rather fun multiplayer mode known as Factions. Ahead of 2020’s The Last of Us Part II, Naughty Dog confirmed that the sequel would not include a Factions mode – with the team instead working on a standalone multiplayer project. Since then, the title has seemingly struggled to find an identity – with it reportedly now being put on ice.

Epic Games’ ‘director of publishing strategy’ departs from the company

It has been a bad couple of weeks for the video games industry, as while we are set to enter one of the busiest periods of the year when it comes to game releases, hundreds of game developers have been let go from a wide range of different studios. One of the biggest offenders has been Epic Games – laying off  830 employees last week. Now, the director of publishing strategy – Sergiy Galyonkin – has also confirmed his departure.

AMD rolls out FSR 3 and Fluid Motion Frames to compete with DLSS 3

AMD's FSR 3 upscaling technology has officially arrived. Late last week, two games were updated to showcase the feature - Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum. Both titles now have FSR 3, allowing users to jump back in and put it to the test. A key component of the FSR 3 launch is the introduction of Fluid Motion Frames, AMD's answer to Nvidia's Frame Generation tech, found in DLSS 3 supported titles.
