The Netflix website has been re-designed

Netflix has started rolling out a major redesign to its own website for PC users. Up until now, the Netflix streaming site has stuck to a similar user interface since its launch, which didn't offer a super efficient browsing experience for those using a PC with a mouse or trackpad.

Now for the first time in four years, Netflix is redesigning its main site, with the changes rolling out to users currently. It isn't everywhere yet, for example, I don't have it myself but plenty of people do have it running now.

The new site looks similar to the app found on other platforms, including the PlayStation, smart TVs and the iPad. The PC and Xbox versions of the app were really the only two with big differences to other platforms. The new Netflix site has a focus on navigating through the selection of movies and TV shows quickly.

Now instead of sitting through a slow scrolling animation, clicking on the arrow at either side of a row will advance the selection forward, rather than making you wait. You will also get more information about shows while hovering your mouse over them, instead of clicking on to another screen entirely.

These changes should be viewable by everyone within two weeks.

KitGuru Says: I use Netflix pretty often on my PC so these new changes are welcome. Have any of you seen the redesigned Netflix site yet? Which version do you prefer?
