Zotac RTX 4070 Super Trinity Black Edition Review

Here we take a look at some of the RTX and other Nvidia features of the RTX 40-series, all of which are supported on the RTX 4070 Super Trinity Black.

Ray Tracing

For starters, it may seem obvious but all RTX graphics cards support real-time ray tracing in games, and you can see examples of this difference this can make above. This also includes Path Tracing, sometimes referred to as ‘Full Ray Tracing' for even more realistic lighting simulation.

Reflex

Nvidia's reflex technology is also supported, designed to lower latency – particularly important in competitive esports where every millisecond counts. Enabling Reflex is as simple as toggling the feature on within the game settings, and it can make a big difference in reducing latency, as we can see above. To learn more about Reflex, we previously covered the technology HERE.

DLSS 3

Of course, RTX 40-series GPUs also support DLSS 3 and DLSS 3.5, which is made up of some different technologies. Above we can see the benefits of DLSS 2 Super Resolution and DLSS 3 Frame Generation which can both increase frame rate, and can be used together for even greater gains.

DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction

Lastly, DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction is also supported, a relatively new feature that improves image quality when ray tracing is enabled, thanks to the use of an AI-based denoising algorithm. You can see it in action above, or learn more from our previous analysis HERE.
