SilverStone Nightjar NJ450-SXL PSU Review

Packaging

The box is small and at its front side we find the 80 PLUS Platinum badge and a list of the most notable features of this product including the passive design. The max operating temperature of 40°C, the SFX-L platform, the fully modular cable design and the single +12V rail.

Around the back there is a features list description in ten languages along with some schemes, including one that shows the modular panel.

Contents

A smaller box includes all accessories which besides a set of fixing bolts, also include a couple of manuals and all cabling.

Exterior

This unit is built like a tank, because it is almost fully covered by thick heatsinks. At the front side, where usually there are ventilation holes, there are no vents.

Thankfully there is a power switch while the power specifications label could be only installed at the front, since there is no flat surface available anywhere else on this supply. Finally, on the modular panel we find three stickers, with one of them depicting the PSU's version number, while silicone caps cover the sockets.
