Intel X25-V SSD 40Gb – Raid 0 performance review

The AS SSD benchmark is another free utility which was created specifically with SSD’s in mind. It delivers a plethora of tests across sequential read and write and also places random read and write loads across a specific area of the drive. This is a good tool to use in conjunction with Windows 7 as it mirrors a very real world set of conditions.

Again, following on from the last test we can see the Intel V 40GB drives in Raid 0 leading the pack by a considerable margin. In single mode it delivers over 180MB/s which is around 40mb/s slower than the Corsair P128 drive. In write mode the drive is noticeably slower than Intel's X25-M, however in Raid 0 it isn't that far behind.
