Intel X25-V SSD 40Gb – Raid 0 performance review

CrystalDiskMark is a disk benchmarking suite which analyses performance and gives a median result.

Key Features

*Measure sequential reads/writes speed
*Measure random 512KB, 4KB, 4KB (Queue Depth=32) reads/writes speed
*Select test data (Random, 0Fill, 1Fill)

In our sequential read test the V series in Raid 0 falls just shy of 400 mb/s with the Intel X25 achieving a second place of around 275mb/s – a fantastic result for a single drive. In single mode the V series Intel drive hits around 177mb/s which is a good showing.

Write speeds again for the Intel drives trail the pack with the Vertex scoring just under 200mb/s
