Here, I present my findings on the power consumption of the Chromebox 2. The ‘idle' reading comes from leaving the Chromebox on the desktop for 15 minutes. The ‘load' reading comes from having 10 YouTube videos open and playing in separate tabs, at which point CPU utilisation reached 100%.
As you can see, power consumption is absolutely minimal. Even with the CPU running full-pelt, the system did not draw more than 15W which is very impressive.
Your review says “Comes with wireless keyboard and mouse.” The Amazon pre-order page you direct us to doesn’t seem to mention this. Can you say which is correct?
