Earlier this month, Ubisoft announced that soon, it would be bringing Operation Health to a close and getting back on track with future content releases, starting off with Operation Blood Orchid. We have already heard a bit about the next addition to Siege but this week, we got our first look at the new map, which is set in an abandoned Theme Park.
Having a map set inside a theme park is obviously a first for this game. The trailer for the new map gives it a bit of a spooky vibe, which could help add to the intensity of multiplayer matches.
As Rainbow Six Siege’s art director and production manager puts it, for this map, the team wanted to portray “a site that was not successful, a theme park that was built very quickly and was lost just as fast”.
There is no firm release date for Operation Blood Orchid yet but we can expect two South Korean operators to join the game, alongside one Polish operator. The second Polish operator will be packaged in with the next operation release.
KitGuru Says: I’ve been getting back in to Rainbow Six Siege recently in the build up to new DLC. I’m definitely looking forward to checking out this new map in-game, though I think I’m more excited for Operation Health to finally be over. What do you guys think of the new Siege map?
