ViewSonic launches 17″ portable gaming monitor with 144Hz refresh rate

ViewSonic is launching a new portable monitor, but this one is aimed at gaming. Named VX1755, the new portable monitor looks to be a good companion for gaming while travelling, offering a 144Hz 17.3-inch screen in a compact casing to easily carry it everywhere.

Featuring a 17.3-inch IPS display with FHD resolution, the new portable monitor from ViewSonic has a response time of 4ms and offers a 144Hz refresh rate. Typical brightness sits at 250nits and the contrast ratio at 800:1. It's not the best for colour accuracy, covering 45% of the NTSC colour gamut and 64% of the sRGB spectrum.

Like most gaming monitors, it features a blue light filter and supports AMD FreeSync Premium to play games without tearing. To further improve your gaming experience, ViewSonic added a pair of integrated speakers to play games with sound without an external sound system and a stand so users can adjust the tilting angle.

The ViewSonic VX1755 weighs less than a kilo and has a 0.6-inch profile, making it the perfect travel companion. Connectivity interfaces on the monitor include a USB-C 3.2 with DP alt. mode, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a mini HDMI. Moreover, there's a USB port to power the monitor.
