Nvidia reportedly begins testing flagship “Ada” GPU

With the era of the RTX 30 series cards coming to an end, the next generation of Nvidia GPUs approaches. Rumours have been pointing to late 2022 for the release of the first Ada GPUs, and according to a recent tweet from a known leaker, this date is becoming more likely.

Leaker kopite7kimi stated that Nvidia's AD102 GPU, expected to be featured in the next RTX xx80 and xx90 series cards, is already under testing. Assuming the rumour is accurate, the GPU design has probably been taped out. If everything else goes well, we'll likely see the first AD102-based cards later this year.

Based on all the rumours we've heard up to this point, Nvidia's next-gen, high-end graphics cards will probably be quite power-hungry, consuming up to 850W. For that kind of power consumption, Nvidia will be using 12+4 pin PCIe 5.0 power connectors, capable of delivering up to 600W per interface.

The GPU is believed to be manufactured using the TSMC N5 node, a considerable jump compared to Samsung's 8nm node used on the Ampere GPUs. Moreover, these cards are rumoured to use GDDR6X memory clocked at 24Gbps.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
