Source claims AMD to increase Radeon RX 6000 GPU pricing for board partners

Much Like Nvidia's GPUs, AMD GPUs have become equally expensive this year, selling for almost twice their MSRP. The situation may get a little worse before it starts to get better, as a source this week has claimed that AMD is planning to increase the prices of RX 6000 GPUs for board partners by 10%.

The report comes from the Board Channels forums, where a user claims AMD will be increasing the pricing of Radeon RX 6000 GPUs by $20-$40 for future shipments. If true, sometime in December as retailers start to get new stock, we may see end-user prices increase as well.

The AMD GPU price increase seems to be linked to TSMC's wafers cost increase, but the festive season could also have some impact on this. It's worth noting that Ryzen 5000 series CPU pricing doesn't seem to be affected by the new wafer prices.

Since the launch of the first Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards, their pricing has suffered some ups and downs. Currently, these cards are being sold for 90% more than their MSRP, on average, after an 11% decrease over October. However, if the report proves to be true, prices should rise once again.
