Nvidia RTX A2000 for desktop expected to be announced soon

Back in April, Nvidia announced its new line-up of workstation GPUs for laptops, starting with the RTX A2000. No desktop version of this GPU was announced at the time, but new leaks suggest that a desktop variant will be coming soon.

VideoCardz has obtained a photo showing the upcoming RTX A2000 GPU, which appears to be smaller than average and utilises a blower-style cooler in a 2-slot profile. As for the specifications, the RTX A2000 should be powered by the GA106 GPU since the RTX A4000 already uses the GA104 GPU.

Looking at the picture, there's 4x mini-DisplayPort 1.4 ports for displays. Unfortunately, the picture doesn't show the power connector, most probably located in the back, like the other RTX A-series cards.

As per the report, the desktop variant of the RTX A2000 should be coming “really soon”, possibly even within the next week, although Nvidia has not yet made any official announcements.

KitGuru says: Planning to build an entry-level workstation soon? It might be worth waiting to see if Nvidia will release the Nvidia RTX A2000 for desktops or not.
