Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event takes place tomorrow

After months of leaks upon leaks, Samsung will finally be hosting its Galaxy Unpacked 2018 event tomorrow. We already have a good idea of what to expect, but here is when and where the announcements will be taking place.

On the 9th of August at 4PM BST, Samsung will be holding its Galaxy Unpacked 2018 event in New York City. Obviously, NYC is a long way to travel for most, so the event will also be streamed live on Samsung's website, similarly to how Apple handles its own event livestreams.

As for what we are expecting to see, there have been numerous leaks pointing towards the Galaxy Note 9- which makes perfect sense as the Note tends to launch each year around this time. Leaked specs and advertising promos have already made their way online, suggesting 1TB storage options and a whopping 8GB of RAM.

There have been some whispers about a potential smart speaker in a similar vein to the Apple HomePod, Amazon Echo or Google Home. There has even been talk of Samsung re-entering the smart watch arena with a new Galaxy Watch. Either way, we'll find out for sure during the event tomorrow evening.

KitGuru Says: Aside from the obvious Galaxy Note 9 announcement, Samsung could have a lot more to show off tomorrow. We'll be keeping an eye on the event for all of the announcements.
