Nvidia has reportedly delayed RTX 3080 Ti launch again

In recent weeks, we've seen reports that Nvidia is planning to launch the RTX 3080 Ti in April. Unfortunately, things may have already changed, as new sources claim that Nvidia internally delayed the release again.

According to ITHome (via VideoCardz), Nvidia has issued an internal announcement stating that the RTX 3080 Ti 12G has been delayed again. While recently the launch was said to be planned for April, Nvidia's apparent delay has pushed the launch into May. This may mean that the RTX 3080 Ti and the RTX 3070 Ti launch at the same time rather then separately.

This is the fifth reported delay of the RTX 3080 Ti. Rumours first began back in December with a 20GB RTX 3080 Ti graphics card, then the spec changed to 16GB of VRAM and the launch was reportedly pushed to January. Not long after that, the launch was moved again and the rumoured specification also changed once again, dropping from 16GB of VRAM to 12GB.

At this point, all we can say for sure is that the RTX 3080 Ti is expected to launch within Q2 with 12GB of VRAM and 10,240 CUDA cores. According to a recent report, Nvidia might also be planning to release the RTX 3070 Ti in May.

KitGuru says: If Nvidia releases the RTX 3080 Ti and the RTX 3070 Ti in the same month, we'll likely see an announcement event for both SKUs. After all the delays, do you think the RTX 3080 Ti will actually land in May?
