Google Stadia now has a free streaming tier

Back when Google first pitched Stadia, it was with a free tier for 1080p streaming and a pro tier for those who want up to 4K visuals. Since launch in November 2019, Stadia has only had the Pro subscription tier available but as of today, the free streaming tier is opening up to everyone. All you need is a Gmail address.

All you need to access Stadia is a supported device. That list includes the Chromecast Ultra, a PC with Chrome, or a supported smartphone like the Samsung Galaxy S series, Razer Phone, ROG Phone or Pixel 2/3/4.

Anyone who signs up for Stadia will get two months of the Pro tier for free, which means you will also get access to a free selection of games. That includes the likes of Destiny 2: The Collection, Gylt, GRID and a few others.

You can choose to not auto-renew the Pro subscription once you are signed up. If you leave automatic renewal switched on, then Stadia Pro will cost $10 per month after your free trial period runs out.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
