KitGuru loves a fight. The best fights in the tech industry resemble the loudest battles between Transformers and Decepticons. Massive organisations – bashing away at each other with cut-throat deals. But ever we’re SHOCKED by the way nVidia pricing has been SLASHED today.
UPDATE: In the past few minutes, we’re heard that eBuyer has moved to MATCH Scan at £287. Again, this seems to be a limited deal for now, but we’re wondering if there will be similar moves on other GTX600 series products and/or a response from AMD.
We’re hearing about dramatic nVidia price moves on pre-GTX700 series cards from across the industry.
At launch, the Asus GTX680 Direct CU II was one of the fastest graphics cards ever made – and that was only last year.
- £443 Price at launch
………..Down by £24
- £419 Regular price until recently
………..Down by £89
- £330 Move by eBuyer and Scan earlier today – reported first on KitGuru
………..Down by ANOTHER £43
- £287 Where Scan has dropped to in the past few minutes
As this update is being written, we’re all watching eBuyer and the other major resellers to see if they want to drop the price further.
So there you have it KitGuru folks. An Asus GTX680 Direct CU II from Scan at £287 is a one-off, that’s only available to pre-order now.
KitGuru says: There you have it. If you wanted a GTX680 for less than £290, now’s your chance.
