Building a Core i7 HTPC with Sapphire Mini ITX H67

The Sapphire HD6670 Ultimate Edition graphics card is passively cooled and is supplied in a subtle box with the name of the product on the front. People will also immediately see the free game included – the excellent Dirt 3.

The bundle includes an HDMI cable, a Dirt 3 key, a software disc and some literature on joining the Sapphire Select Club.

The card is built around a green PCB with a large passive cooler taking centerstage. This is split into two aluminum fin sections, which are connected by a dual heatpipe configuration.

The card covers all digital bases, offering DVI-D, HDMI and Displayport connectivity. We like the fact these are all full sized ports.

The Sapphire H67 Platinum Edition, complete with Intel Core i7 2600k.

The cooler and ADATA DDR3 memory installed.

The complete system, fitted outside the case.

The Thermaltake Armor A30 case has a removable tray system, so the rig can be built outside the case.

After fitting both hard drives into the internal bay we can connect them up to the Antec power supply.

The remainder of the cables can then be connected up, and the system sealed. Ready to rock!
