Building a Core i7 HTPC with Sapphire Mini ITX H67

The tests were performed in a controlled air conditioned room with temperatures maintained at a constant 25c – a comfortable environment for the majority of people reading this.

Idle temperatures were measured after sitting at the desktop for 30 minutes. Load measurements were acquired by running Furmark (for GPU) and rendering a scene in Cinema 4D for 30 minutes and measuring the peak temperature. All fan settings were left on automatic.

Due to the fact we are using the reference Intel cooler, the 2600k temperatures peak around 80c. The passively cooled Sapphire HD6670 Ultimate Edition graphics card takes a long time to fully heat up under Furmark load, reaching a potential maximum of 85c. When gaming however we recorded a maximum of 76c under extended load.
