Acer launches new Predator and Nitro gaming monitors featuring HDMI 2.1

Acer is about to expand its vast portfolio of gaming monitors with three new products. Each new Acer monitor offers fast response times, 4K or WQHD resolutions, and up to a 275Hz refresh rate.

One monitor belongs to Acer's Nitro line, while the other two are part of the Predator line. The three monitors are the first to be TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe-certified and offer HDMI 2.1 support, perfect for console gamers who want to play at [email protected] with VRR (Variable Refresh Rate).

Victor Chien, president of the digital display business division at Acer, stated that Asus latest monitors “feature the industry’s latest technology to give gamers smooth performance and comfortable ergonomics”. Regardless of the type of gamer, the “new Predator and Acer Nitro monitors are available in a variety of designs and sizes to support just about anyone in the market for a gaming monitor”.

The Acer Nitro XV282K KV is 4K monitor using an Agile-Splendor IPS panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. Covering up to 90% of the DCI-P3 wide colour gamut, the Nitro XV282K KV features a dynamic contrast of 100000000:1, Acer HDR 400, and the Acer Vision Care 3.0 suite (LightSense, ColorSense, ProxiSense and BluelightShield Pro).

Featuring a 4K Agile-Splendor IPS panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, the Acer Predator XB323QK NV is an Nvidia G-Sync compatible display and certified with VESA DisplayHDR 400. Capable of covering up to 90% of the DCI-P3 wide colour gamut, this monitor offers a “vibrant range of colours” that enhances your visual experience while gaming.

The Acer Predator XB273U NX is a 27-inch monitor featuring an Agile-Splendor IPS panel with a WQHD resolution, 0.5ms response time, and a 275Hz refresh rate (overclocked). This monitor supports HDR content and covers up to 95% of the DCI-P3 wide colour gamut, offering vivid colours and darker blacks on your favourite games. Additionally, this monitor also features Nvidia Reflex Latency Analyzer and Nvidia G-Sync technologies.

Both Predator monitors support Acer VisionCare 4.0, a suite of technologies used to protect the eyes of the users while gaming for long periods. Some features included in the suite are LightSense, AdapativeLight, ColorSense, and Proxisense, which automatically adjusts the monitor brightness, colour, gamma, and contrast according to the ambient light. VisionCare 4.0 also implies that these monitors use Acer's ErgoStand, which allows the user to adjust their monitor’s swivel, pivot, tilt and height to their liking.

These Acer monitors will be available in May. The Predator XB273U NX will be priced at $1099.99/€1179.00, the Predator XB323QK NV at $1199.99/€1199.00, and the Nitro XV282K KV at $899.99/€949.00.
