We measure power consumption from the whole system when idle and when gaming, excluding the monitor. We play Rise Of the Tomb Raider and measure demand.

The Asus RX 480 Strix Gaming OC Aura is an efficient card. Under gaming load, the system power demand is 232 watts. With the reference GTX 1060 in the system however, the power drain drops to 198 watts. The Nvidia GTX 1060 consumes around 34 watts less when loaded.
