Ugreen NASync DXP4800 Pro 4-bay NAS Review

For our Backup / Restore test we transferred a 55.7GB folder full of 20,925 mixed files to and from the NAS. On the host system, this was located on a NVMe SSD with bandwidth far exceeding that of the NAS device (around 3,500MB/sec). This simulates the kind of file security task you might want to perform with your NAS – backup your entire documents folder to your NAS for safekeeping.

This is a tough test that shows how copying small files can affect performance with mechanical hard disks. The read and write speeds are mostly better with 10Gbit Ethernet, but not by much. RAID 0 just about wins, but not by so much that you'd truly notice in the real world.
