At AMD Accelerated earlier this week, AMD announced its next generation EPYC processors. The next-gen data centre and cloud-oriented CPUs are codenamed "Genoa" and "Bergamo", boasting up to 96 cores and up to 128 cores respectively. 

Today, AMD is making some noise in the professional graphics market with the introduction of the Instinct MI200 series accelerators. AMD claims the new Instinct MI250 and the MI250X boast up to 4.9x better performance than the competition in double precision (FP64) HPC applications and enable 380 TFLOPs of peak theoretical half-precision (FP16) performance for AI workloads...

We're still a few weeks away from Black Friday, but Razer is kicking the sales season off early with a round of early deals delivering big discounts for streaming and console gear, PC gaming peripherals and mobile accessories. 

After launching the M1 and M1 Pro chips based on the 5nm process node, it seems Apple is now moving to newer process nodes. According to sources, Apple will be making the jump to 3nm for its second and third generation M-series processors over the next two years...

Intel’s new 12th Gen Alder Lake processors and Z690 platform usher in a raft of new technologies. One of those key updates is a new memory technology to the desktop audience for the first time since 2014; enter DDR5!

This morning a few hours ahead of the embargo lift for Intel Alder Lake reviews, Gigabyte Aorus published an impressive seeming overclocking result, claiming to have reached 8GHz on the Core i9-12900K. The embargo for Alder Lake has since lifted, allowing more people to talk freely about performance and it has quickly become clear that this 8GHz result was faked. 

With Intel's 12th Gen Core processors now out in the open, overclockers have been getting their hands on the new CPUs and racing to set new records. This week, overclocker 'Hicookie' posted the most impressive result yet, pushing a Core i9-12900K to 8GHz and following it up with DDR5 memory running at 8300 MT/s. 

It would appear that you can publicly delay games that do not yet have release dates announced. This week in a somewhat odd move, Blizzard announced that both Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 are delayed, despite neither title having an official release date. 

While Red Dead Redemption 2 did make it onto PC as well as consoles, the original Red Dead Redemption continues to be a console exclusive to this day. That could be changing soon though, as sources claim that a remaster is now in development. 

Not long ago, Age of Empires was a dormant franchise, forgotten and left behind as Microsoft shifted its focus to Xbox. The last mainline game, Age of Empires III, released back in 2005 and for well over a decade, it looked like we would never get a sequel. That changed back in 2017, with Microsoft partnering with Relic Entertainment to modernise the series and deliver Age of Empires IV. Now, this long-awaited sequel has finally arrived – was it worth the wait?

Many CPU cooler manufacturers announced they will give out LGA1700 mounting kits for free if you own an Intel Alder Lake CPU and a selected cooler. This is usually a good idea, as it allows PC builders to reuse their current CPU cooler, rather than being forced to buy a new one. However, early reports seem to point to cooling issues when bringing older AIO coolers to the LGA1700 platform.

At long last, Razer is officially getting into the PC components business. Soon, you'll be able to kit your gaming PC out with Razer hardware, building off the success of the Razer Tomahawk case. Today at RazerCon, the company is announcing its first wave of components, including new case fans and a fan controller, an AIO liquid cooler and a Platinum-rated power supply. 

GeForce Now is about to get its biggest upgrade to date, bringing the power of the RTX 3080 graphics card to the cloud gaming platform. A new subscription tier is also being introduced alongside this hardware upgrade.

Since launching the Apple M1 processor last year, many rumours have surfaced about what's next. While we expected an upgraded 'M1X' chip at some point later this year, it turns out Apple was actually working on two new SoCs - the M1 Pro and the M1 Max, bringing up to a 70 percent boost in CPU performance. 

Over the last few years, From Software has been working on its most ambitious game to date - Elden Ring. Earlier this year, the game was announced with a January 2022 release date, but the developers have since realised they need a bit more time, so a small delay has been announced.

Marvel's Avengers may not have been the hit Square Enix was hoping for but the publisher is ready to take another swing at the Marvel universe later this month with Guardians of the Galaxy. The game is set to release next week, and judging by the newly released PC system requirements, it's going to be a pretty big game.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit concerned about Monster Hunter Rise coming to PC after initially launching on Switch. The game was originally built to run on very low-power hardware compared to Monster Hunter World and I had my doubts as to how well the game would scale for higher-end PC hardware. After spending some time with the newly released Monster Hunter Rise PC demo, I have come away impressed. 

Earlier this week, Activision announced Ricochet anti-cheat, a new system being implemented to protect Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone from cheaters. This new form of anti-cheat includes a kernel-level driver, providing deeper access to your system to closely monitor any software interacting with Call of Duty. It would have been a strong method of anti-cheat, but the kernel-level driver has already leaked, giving cheat creators a huge head start.
